We are a mixed billing clinic. Fees may apply for consultations at the doctor’s discretion.
Our professional fees are guided by the Australian Medical Association (AMA) Fees List.
If your doctor bulk bills, Medicare covers the full consultation, and there is no out-of-pocket expense.
Bulk-billing GP services are available for the following:
These are estimated charges; actual fees vary by practitioners.
The amount Medicare reimburses for the consultation.
The difference between the doctor's fee and the Medicare rebate.
We endeavor to help you see the doctor of your choice. Communication between doctor and patient is improved when a good relationship exists between both parties. If it is not always possible to see the same doctor, our system of recording notes ensures continuity of care.
We have several measures to streamline the waiting room and improve patient flow. Please advise the type of appointment you need when booking, or if the Doctor or Nurse has advised you to get something done at your next appointment. Please remind reception on arrival.
All reusable instruments used for procedures are sterilised in an autoclave under high temperature and pressure to meet Australian Safety Standards. Disposable equipment is used to ensure patient safety.
If you require medical attention after hours, please call 13 74 25. For emergencies, dial 000 or attend the closest hospital to you.
Doctors can take phone calls when time permits. If they are busy or involved with another patient, they may elect to call you back. The nurse can help determine urgency, but most problems are best dealt with in a consultation.
Our doctors can perform many minor surgical procedures, including removal of moles or skin lesions, treatment of simple fractures, cryotherapy, nebuliser use, pap smears, and resuscitation. Please inform the receptionist if you require a longer appointment for a procedure.
We can perform ECGs, lung function testing, blood sugar testing, pregnancy tests, and hearing tests. We arrange external services for blood collection, X-rays, CT scans, ultrasound, mammograms, and endoscopy tests.
Patients must return for a consultation to obtain test results, preferably with the doctor who ordered them. If results are abnormal or require urgent attention, we will contact you. Please ensure we have your current phone number and address when booking or settling your account.
We have a Reminder/Recall System for follow-up of preventive activities such as skin checks, cholesterol checks, Pap smears, and more. If you do not wish to be included, please inform your doctor or nurse.
Referrals to specialists are made during consultations and are valid for one year. Please book an appointment before your referral expires.
Prescriptions are written during consultations. For repeat prescriptions, please make an appointment to see a doctor.
We are committed to preventing chronic diseases. We encourage patients to use the services of our practice nurses and doctors to assess modifiable lifestyle factors.
We recommend yearly health assessments for patients over 75 and detailed health checks for those aged 45-49. Home assessments can be arranged.
We provide a summary of your medical records free of charge, but a fee may apply for preparing full records.
We cater to people with special needs and disabilities. Please ask our staff for assistance if needed.
Please refer above.
We use the BEST PRACTICE software to securely manage medical records, and we comply with Australian Federal Privacy Laws and Standards.
